If there's one thing the pandemic has done it's allowed me to google minutia. Since I'm a huge fan of baseball I came across a couple of items that I found extremely interesting.
Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels is considered the top player in the game. At the young age of 28 he has won 3 MVP Awards. Then I looked at his salary. Every time he steps on the field he earns $100,000 dollars. I don't begrudge this. I admire it. Get what you can while you can I say.
The second item deals with a former ballplayer, Andre Dawson. He was a former Montreal professional player then went to the Cubs. Dawson was enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Many players go into public relations or travel around signing balls and programs after their playing days have concluded. Not Andre. He is the sole proprietor of a funeral home in Miami. So, this got me to thinking, wouldn't it be cool if I told my friends I was embalmed by Andre Dawson. I'd be a big hit at parties.
