The Queen and I recently watched the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. It tells the story of Freddie Mercury, lead singer of the 70's mega popular musical group, Queen. I enjoyed the film.
Most everyone knows Mercury was gay, flaming gay.
Here's the deal. Hollywood makes millions distributing their movies around the world to nations, even communist ones. Communist China told Hollywood they would not accept the Mercury film if there was any reference to homosexuality in it. Guess what? The Hollywood moguls fell on their swords to this demand.
Ted Cruz(R-TX) has introduced in bill in congress to stop these shenanigans. It won't pass. It won't even be discussed but it's nice knowing someone is protecting freedom of speech.
