Please Explain Parole To Me



He murdered 2 cops and a civilian woman. He walks free after forty years.
A convicted cop killer walked out of prison on parole Friday after nearly 40 years behind bars — over the angry protests of police unions and some politicians.



Herman Bell was released from the maximum-security Shawangunk Correctional Facility in upstate Ulster County on Friday around 5 p.m., according to the state prison website.
Bell, 70, was convicted in 1979 of the 1971 murders of Police Officers Joseph Piagentini and Waverly Jones in Harlem. He was also convicted of the 1971 murder of a California cop.
