Plot: Angel lives in New York City at a publishing house. Her boss says that she has to do a story in a midwestern small town. It turns out the community is Stacy's birthplace. Her finace,Thomas, is reluctant to let her go but gives her the okay.
Angel goes home(her parents are deceased but her aunt lives there who offer her advice). The first person Angel meets in Gingerbread Town is her high school sweetheart, Ned. He's a widower with seven year old perfect daughter who laughs a great deal and is excited to know Santa Claus in coming.
Angel and the daughter, Mistletoe, become great friends. Ned and Angel hang out a great deal. Ned and Angel give each other longing looks. Their most fun thing to do together is drink cocoa and eat Christmas cookies. It's then they know the love is still there.
Thomas comes to Gingerbread Town to see Angel. She realises she's in love with Ned. Angel and Thomas talk. Angel tells Thomas her true feelings about Ned. Thomas says, "That's good. Ned should be the man in your life. Good-bye.
