Haiti And Others

When I was a child I was quite aware of tragedies in the world be they typhoons, hurricanes, or earthquakes. I wasn't much bothered by them since they seemed to be in Iran, Malaysia, Haiti and far away lands. As I grew older maturity took over and I gave these things much more thought and, when possible, financial aid. It just seems so sad the poorest of the poor seemingly get the worst of it. It's understandable because housing is so poor and structural standards lacking. Even so, news reports are telling us hundreds of thousands are dead in Haiti.
We have so much to be thankful for in this country. God must have a special place for his Haitian children. They are required to suffer so much.
