Remember when the Miss America Pageant was a family TV watching event? My recollection was that it took place in either April or September. Remember Bert Parks? What the hell did he do for a living aside from singing one song? I saw an article two days ago giving the stats on the number of people who witnessed the contest in the olden days(1960's) watching on black and white TV. The numbers were massive. Not anymore. Maybe it's because Mario Lopez is the host. Bert Parks made the "Saved By The Bell" host look like a plate of spaghettio's while dining at Spagio's. A new Miss America was crowned last evening. The winner is a 22 year-old from Virginia. Her talent was singing and she goes by the name of Caressa Cameron. Pretty neat name for her wannabe life goal occupation; a TV news anchorette. Look out, Katie Couric!
