If you're a long time reader of this blog then you know my very favorite team sport is baseball. It has always has been. Do you know I still have every glove from age six until my last one as a college player? And my first mitt dates back to 1952.
Actually, I enjoy all sports. Well, soccer isn't on the list nor are a slew of what might be referred to as minor ones. On television I stopped watching the NBA when Larry Bird retired. Once in awhile I'll watch an NFL game. Actually, it's been a very long 'once in awhile'. The last one was the Super Bowl when Peyton Manning was quarterbacking the Indianapolis Colts circa 2004.
Regardless, sports makes this country go, or at least it used to. I read a report today the very few people are watching the NBA games. The same goes for Major League Baseball. I wonder why.
I believe I know the answer to this lack of 'caring' but I'll let you make up your own minds.
