Lizzie told me about Republicans a long time ago. When it comes to messaging, we're duds. Going back to the Senatorial race in Minnesota between Norm Coleman and Al Franken it was Coleman who's TV ads focused on, "He brought hockey back to Minnesota"(referring to the NHL team). Then he showed three bowling type guys laughing. Franken got serious about jobs. Game, set, match!
In Ohio's election of this week the Dems had a cutesy school teacher telling us kids would suffer and teacher's would lose their jobs if they couldn't have collective bargaining. There was an ad with a grandma telling us how the that people would die if firemen lost their jobs. It was a reverse ploy. People didn't understand that worker's will actually lose their jobs by voting against the bill. It was all about tax money and a rising state debt. We(republicans) were outflanked by the democrats, again. Read the article from National Review.
