Ten days zipped by like it was nuthin'. We leave the two grandchildren along with their 'wombed' brother or sister for murky, cloudy, rainy--no doubt Ohio. Do you know what the most difficult part of going home is? It's the change from the Central to Eastern time zone. God did not intend for mankind to have the nightly news come on at ten pm. The Central time zone is God's special place for special people. Maybe that's why I have to head on back.
Anyway, we had a great time. The children were most of the time enjoyable and some of the time intolerable but that's the way with a four and two year old.
Lizzie and I did the Texas Missions tour and who wouldn't take in the Alamo. It's right downtown in San Antonio; two blocks from the Riverwalk. If you've never been to San Antonio there are a lot or worse places to visit; Cleveland, Detroit, Flint: you get the picture.
Once again, we're on the economy flight home. We leave the SA airport at noon, then fly to The Antarctica for refueling. After this it's off the the British Antigua's, onto Orlando and, finally, arrive in Columbus at 8 pm. My Oklahoma buddy asked if I couldn't get a better flight. I reminded him Lizzie was in charge and the total came to $14.
Up, up and away.
