I read an account in The Blaze this morning that initially shocked but then only caused me to shake my head in disgust.
It seems there's a kid in California, age 10, named Grayson Thomas. He's a 5th grader--Wrong! He used to be a 5th grader at Stevenson Ranch elementary school(Ph. 661-291-4070) in Santa Clarita.
During the lunch hour the kids noticed a celebrity of sorts come into the cafeteria. He happened to be Chris Schauble, morning host at KTLA TV News in LA. Schauble sat down with his daughter.
Young Mr. Thomas in the way only a kid can do said to a friend, "Obama's visiting our school today". It has to be mentioned that Mr. Schauble is a handsome looking man. Well, the daughter of the man in question, also age 11, heard the comment and called over her teacher. She explained that she felt uncomfortable because she considered the Thomas comment to have racial overtones. The teacher called the principal who in turn contacted the superintendent.
Hearken back to my earlier statement: "He used to be a student". That is correct. The school expelled young Mr. Thomas.
People, we're in a world of hurt.
