Feeling Badly For The Muslim Subway Girl
By now most Americans are familiar with the story of 18 year old Yasmin Seweid, a Muslim college student from New York. She claimed, while on a subway, she was harassed by three whites who tried to pull of her hajib or whatever it's called from her head. It turns out the story was a ruse.
Her sister explained the entire incident wasn't her fault. That was thrust upon the shoulders of the NYPD, according to her sister. The girl in question over indulged in alcohol and didn't make it home that evening. Her parents, faithful and hardcore(more on that later) Muslims would not have taken her 'Americanization' lightly.
Yasmin is a very attractively young women who surely made a huge mistake. After all, at eighteen I'm sure, had I gotten in trouble, I would have done anything to perform the magical CYA.
In Ms. Siewald's case I can understand why. I saw a picture of her on TV last evening during a court appearance for filing a false criminal report. Her parents forcefully cut her hair down to the skull for shaming them. They should be required to appear in court for child abuse.
It's one more reason why Muslim's, aside from what Obama tried to convince us, are not a part of the American fabric.
