Read the Washington Times for March 1, 2009. There's an article by George Hahn. He gives us five reasons to understand the direction our present government is taking. Figure out what point he is trying to make.
Exhibit #1 The federal government, according to Obama, is the only entity left to jolt our economy back to life.
Exhibit #2 Universal health care
Exhibit #3 Fairness Doctrine. We witnessed, a week ago, pronouncements from Senator Stabenow, Schumer, Bingamon calling for it's re-introduction. Regardless of what Obama said this week the issue is not dead. The movement would begin locally.
Exhibit #4 Card Check. Elimination of the secret ballot in labor union voting.
Exhibit #5 Moving the census bureau from the Commerce Department to the White House. This would allow the WH to make random samplings of the population in their favor for purposes of voting districts.
