How The Government Wasted Your Money In 2016(Part I) AKA The Federal Fumbles Report

First in a series of government boondoggles:

People don’t like food that has been sneezed on ... but NIH has funded a $2 million multi-year study about how kids "don’t like to eat food that’s been sneezed on.”

You can thank the three federal agencies, National Endowment for Humanities (NEH), National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and Institute of Museum and Library Services, for a combined $495,000 — so you can experience the 85-day exhibition of sights, touch, sounds, smells, and tastes of medieval times.

The Department of Agriculture (USDA) made a proposition that would require gas stations and convenience stores to sell items like tofu, shrimp, and almond milk if they want to continue accepting food stamps.

The "Federal Fumbles" report mentions that “halfway through a four-year grant, National Science Foundation (NSF) paid more than $2 million to find out whether climate change has impacted China’s giant panda population.” As of fall 2016, Michigan State University students have produced an eight-page report in Science magazine.

Most people have no idea that chewing tobacco is a nasty and horrible habit, right? So the National Institutes of Health (NIH) thought it was necessary to provide some $500,000 for a program to send text messages that discourage less than 10 percent of Americans from chewing tobacco.
