Don't Blame Libya

In my recent 3,000 mile motoring trip I filled the tank quite a few times. Beginning January 20 the meter ran at $2.88. Upon arrival home today in Ohio it was $3.59. Some have it worse. If one listens to the media you'll hear that the 'unrest in Libya is having an impact'. Baloney! Libya's world exports are 1.7% compared to other nations.
Want a nice example of hypocrisy from our government? The Obama administration is seriously considering opening up our Strategic Oil Reserve Supply. Big whoop! This would drop the price per gallon about 10 cents. And what's the point. that petro is to be used for a national emergency; hurricane destruction, war, etc. (I have an oil executive friend who could explain this situation in better detail with the proper numbers. Maybe he'll give me some insight.) On the other hand our leader and his lawyers are fighting the courts to make certain their will be no resumption of drilling in the Gulf. That, my friends, is primo hypocrisy.
