Well, That Didn't Take Long

Was it only this morning when I blogged that dumbocrat operative, Hilary Rosen, would create a furor by saying Ann Romney has never had a real job? Raising five boys is, Ms. Rosen, a job. Just an hour ago Rosen* apologized. Moochie Obama did the same. If you recall Obama stated a few days ago that he and the old lady had to work to support the family a few years ago. Yeah, right. They were making a combined $476 large at the time.
I was driving home from the golf course when it hit me. Lizzie was a stay at home until our youngest started junior high. I don't want pity but we had a combined income of $8,000 in 1976 when the youngest left the womb. It was our decision. His brother and sister were six and seven, respectively. We made what we thought was a values choice. Then I thought of my daughter and two sons. Each has three children ranging in ages from seven to three weeks. All three wives are stay at home. A liberal would laugh at them for sacrificing their career potential. Aw hell, a liberal would chastise them for not aborting the third child. I love and respect my kids and how they're raising their children. Last summer I took my then six year old grandson, Oscar, to the golf course with me. I introduced him to one of the ladies. Not many kids do this but he took off his cap, then shook the hand of this woman and told her how nice it was to meet her. I was beaming with pride and made sure I told the 'Big O' so when we got into my car. Now, I'm not saying if a wife is not a stay at home she'll raise slugs but the kids with home mother's have a good head start in life. My daughter and daughter in laws are a source of great pride to Lizzie and I. A pox on you Hilary Rosen. Don't try and make us think this was a slip of the lip, either. It was a planned statement about the 'war on women'** but as I knew, it did bite the libs in the butt and it didn't take but an hour in the 24 hour news cycle.

Just to keep you up to speed Rosen has written an article justifying her statement even though she said she apologized. It's sickening.

**Seriously folks, do you think women really, really care about contraception they get for free and how they're being screwed because they can't join Augusta National.
Lizzie's a fairly normal mother and housewife and she doesn't know a putter from a 5-iron. She does like coffee and doesn't appreciate having to shell out $8 a pound for her favorite brew.
