I was in a contemplative mode about today's blog headline and then it hit me. Obama is right when he touts Muslim Syrians as being a great part of the patchwork of this nation(12-10-15). I began to recall the names of the hundreds and hundreds of Syrians who have helped build this great country.

 And, finally, let us not neglect Aariz Washington. Didn't I read that he ate figs at Mount Vernon(picked by slaves, thereby starting a trend in local street markets that continues to this day?
