It's amazing what a person can learn when they don't have a life. It's not as though I wander aimlessly through the day in my bathrobe, a cup of coffee at my side and the TV tuned to either Fox News or the Hallmark Movie Channel(But, it seems that way).
Often times my mind will bring up a question about life in general. For interest, yesterday I began thinking about Obama's release of what he calls federal prisoners who are non-violent aka, drug sellers and users. According to him these people are not a stain on our society and it does them no good to languish behind bars.
Recently, I've been on a rant about auto deaths in Ohio. Coming home from our son's home in Cincinnati the State has seen 1,054 as of 12/19. It's a disaster. As you may or may not know there are approximately 33,000 auto deaths in the U.S., on average, every year. This is so sad!
The media, liberals, Obama, the Socialist congress never lets us forget there are 30,000 gun deaths per year. That's a huge number in my book. Even so, 1,000 of these are committed 'on accident'. Another 10,000, and this is the one we 'gun and Bible clingers' are blamed for are committed as purposeful acts of violence. So, what about the rest of these 30,000 plus numbers. Amazingly, 18,000 are suicides. I'm guessing you've never heard this before. My suggestion to the government is they pass a law that, in order to buy a hand gun, the purchaser sign their name on a background check saying they will not kill themselves. Or, they could put their John Henry on a government form saying they will not jump from a bridge or building, douse themselves with gasoline, sit in their garage with their car running. Oh, you get the picture.
Finally, and I had to save the best(or worst) for last. Regarding Obama's release of non-violent criminals during his presidency; 47,000 Americans per year die from drug overdoses! I'm talking about heroin and cocaine and all associated items. Did you read that? I suppose some of you will say, "Yes, but there are many accidental ones. You're correct and by the same thinking the same as with hand guns. Our president is putting back on the streets killers. He might as well give them a car and tell these losers to drive 100 m.p.h. into a crowd of school children. In addition, Obama has now released more convicted felons on society than the previous five presidents---combined!
Our leaders pay lip service to what foreign countries allow to be brought across our borders to kill our children, our brothers and sisters--our families. These cartels are being allowed to bring their goodies across our borders for their own economic gain while we allow ourselves to be murdered and with our president's say so.
Here's something else that might surprise you. The United States is not allowed to destroy the number one cash crop of Afghanistan, poppies, because it would ruin their economy. What does that tell you?
The number 1 killer of Americans are illicit drugs and our government refuses to have a real war on them. Arnold Toynbee, a noted historian from yesteryear stated that all great civilizations decline from within. We're well on our way to achieving this milestone.
