Heroin: It's An Epidemic
What you see in this photo is a mom and dad passed out from a heroin overdose. Their four year old grandson is in the back seat. These folks live in East Liverpool, Ohio, a small town on the northeast corner of the state across from Pennsylvania.
Heroin abuse isn't a once in awhile problem in Ohio. Overdoses and deaths have made the Buckeye state the epicenter of the problem. In addition, states surrounding Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia are dealing with massive numbers of overdoses.
The media and government officials are asking themselves why. Consider this. There are five main sources in the world for heroin production: Laos, Viet Nam, Cambodia, Colombia and, get this, Mexico of all places.
I'm not an expert on the subject of access to this drug but it seems to me we have the 'ready-fire-aim' approach. People believe we need more drug rehab centers.
Wouldn't it be better if we attacked the root cause of heroin deaths? Shutting down the border might be a positive step . Trump has recently stated he would take money from the distributors of death to use in the wall's construction.
Other than Trump and a few MSM channels I haven't heard a great deal about the subject. Somebody tell me when Obama and Hillary mentioned heroin. As I write about the Clinton's I hearken back to what Bill's brother, Roger, said about the former president on the subject of the powder; "He's got a nose like a vacume cleaner". Could it be this is why Mr. and Mrs. Corrupt are mum on the subject?
