It could have happened anywhere but it didn't. It took place in Iowa. Believe it or not Iowans do cling to their guns and bibles. They also cling to each other and to marriage. I remember when Paul Harvey had his radio show. He always ended with a salute to couples who were "on the road to eternity" or something like that. He gave tribute to couples who had been married well over fifty years. It seemed like they were always from Iowa or Nebraska.
This is a story of a couple who died within and hour of each other. They were holding hands when they went with each other to their eternity after seventy-two years of being together. Tragically, the husband had pulled out in from of another vehicle and the resulting deaths were due to the accident. Folks, this is an honest to God love story.
