Temperatures in northern Minnesota dropped to near 50 below zero on Sunday morning — that's air temperature, not counting the wind.
The National Weather Service in Duluth relayed a report of 49 degrees below zero at Kabetogama in northern St. Louis County.

If you read this blog you'll know we have a lake home in north central Minnesota. I leave the lake in September and return, sometimes, in mid-May just as the ice is breaking up. The Queen once suggested we spend late December at the cabin. I suggested she see a psychiatrist.
Our location, Walker, saw only -32 this morning, sans windchill. Those people were most likely wearing t-shirts or jackets. How many sins does it take for God to wreak this horror no human beings?
