Pope Francis spouted one of his meaningless and ridiculous statements today. He espoused the revisionist theory condemning the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Considering he is likely to have never studied military science I'll cut him 1% slack.
Historians in the know state that without the bombings 100,000 American soldiers would have died invading the country and another 500,000 would have been wounded. Furthermore, it has be stated that the Japanese would have delayed the end of the war by five, count them, five more years. The guy needs to put himself in the shoes of the people who lived through and the parents who lost sons and daughters.
This guy is truly an embarrassment.
