DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A southeast Texas mom is furious with her son's school district.
The nine-year-old boy brought black pepper to school. He says it was for his lunch. But a classmate reported him for having drugs.
Even though police confirmed it was, in fact, nothing but pepper the boy was suspended by the New Caney district -- about 30 miles northeast of Houston.
Not only suspended but ordered to attend an alternative school for 15 days.
On top of that, the district says this whole episode will now be part of the boy's permanent school record.
