Stupidity Kills

We evacuated schools but crammed the vulnerable into care facilities. Stupidity kills.

• In Wisconsin, those under 50 compose less than 7 percent of coronavirus deaths while people 70 or over make up 68 percent of coronavirus deaths.
• In Ohio, people under 50 constitute 2 percent of coronavirus deaths while people over 70 represent 75 percent of all coronavirus deaths.
• In Florida, people under 55 account for 7.2 percent of coronavirus deaths while people 65 or older constitute 82 percent of deaths.

If we gave all the condoms and clean needles to nuns in the aftermath of the AIDS outbreak, then we could cite a precedent. As it stands, our idiocy knows no benchmark. We go for the cathartic over the constructive. Unfortunately, what makes us feel good kills others.
