Go 'Clones

MJ has been remiss over the years in screaming about his home state loyalties. You readers probably think I'm a die-hard Iowa Hawkeye fan---and I am. But I am also a huge fan of the Iowa State Cyclones. The way I see it, especially when it comes to football, is hope springs eternal. They are the the Chicago Cubs of college football. They have been "Loveable Losers". Tonight, they play on FX television against the University of Texas Longhorns. Did you know the Cyclones defeated the 'Horns in Austin last year? Do you care? Well, folks in Iowa did and do. It'd never happened before. The 'Clones defeated Nebraska two years ago in Lincoln and lost on a two point conversion after time had expired at home last year. Their coach is young and enthusiastic. The team is not considered a "bye" game anymore. If you happen to not live in Iowa I feel sad for you. It may be called the "Hawkeye State" but tonight it's "Go 'Clones; All the way to Lincoln Way".
