Make Your Own Danged Masks

Governors in a couple of states are now warning their citizens arrests will happen if they leave their homes without masks. This bothers me in two areas. First, the warnings sound like police states and secondly, it's about the masks.

For example and I quote, "MyPillow CEO Michael Lindell, a self-made former crack addict, is going to transform 75% of his manufacturing capacity to make 10,000 cotton face masks per day by the end of the week, ramping up production to 50,000 a day in a month."

Lindell is doing God's work but why can't people at home make their own masks? Why do they have to depend on the government to take care of them? It seems to me there are millions of Americans who could churn out enough masks for the entire population to take care of this problem. But that's just me.
