Now The Food Police Want Us To Abort Food

From the Des Moines, Iowa Register:

National junk-food critics want a Des Moines hospital to evict a McDonald’s restaurant from its premises.

“Your hospital is being used as part of McDonald’s comprehensive marketing strategy, a strategy that is clearly inconsistent with your goals as a health institution,” the group Corporate Accountability International wrote to leaders of Mercy Medical Center and 21 other hospitals across the country.

The chain restaurant has sold Big Macs, fries and shakes in Mercy’s basement for more than two decades. Patients who come to the hospital to have their arteries unclogged or their diabetes medicine adjusted can stop downstairs for a fast-food fill-up before heading home.
