Throwing A Tantrum

There's a lot of 'temper tantrum throwin' coming out of the District of Columbia lately. Barack Obama has developed a bad case of foot in mouth disease. It appears that he's going overboard offering his opinions on everything from the armed forces to the inability of congress to get the job done(republican congress, of course). The sign of a desperate man showed itself in his attack on the Supreme Court. But the most egregious attack came upon my beloved Masters Golf Tournament. The King of the Links, through his propaganda minister, Jay 'carnival barker' Carney announced that, even though he has no right to speak on the subject, that Masters officials should allow women to become members. Golly, haven't we been down this road before? Remember how the Masters committee handled their last criticism when they were attacked on being a men's only organization? Well, they ran the show without sponsors. Don't mess with The Masters, baby. Besides, if Barack wanted to make a salient point why is it you've never seen him on the golf course with a woman? If he wants the female vote so badly it'd behoove him to make that move.
Maybe Obama should attack an institution that's been around since the ante bellum period; sororities and fraternities in college. They were established for one reason only; to keep blacks segregated from educational institutions. Shoot, if Obama wants to do something good for guys he should take the podium and demand that fraternities accept the ladies into their social societies; make them live in the same frat houses, shower together and drink beer in front of the TV while flatulating on command. It's what guys do. And, as long as were on the subject, he should demand the reverse for sororities; guys have to be admitted, dress up in formals and attend teas and girlie parties. I'd be the first in line to re-matriculate. I'd sign up for the eight year plan; an octagonal scholar if you will.
I like it that Obama offers so many opinions on how we should live and conduct our lives. You remember the saying from Mark Twain: "“It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.”
